Prelude: Tim Hansen
Welcome/Announcements: Pastor Wayne
CALL TO WORSHIP Norvil Brown
I believe in God, the Father Almighty, maker of heaven and earth.
And in Jesus Christ, His only Son,our Lord, who was conceived by
the Holy Spirit,
born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified,
died and was buried.
He descended into hell.
The third day He rose again from the dead.
He ascended into heaven and sits at the right hand of God the
Father Almighty.
From thence He will come to judge the living and the dead.
I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy Christian Church, the
communion of saints,
the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and the life
everlasting. Amen.

Church Council Update (MAY)
Ø New Hope’s financial situation is in very good shape, especially
with the mortgage paid off. The Church Council will continue to
monitor income and expenditures. Anyone wishing to still
contribute towards the (Building) Maintenance Reserve fund
may still do so.
Ø The General Fund balance for April was $40,637. See
previously published General Fund Activity Report for more
details.
Ø The Church Council is sponsoring and inviting all NHGMC
members and friends to the ‘Mortgage Burning Celebration’; a
potluck and Tree Planting(in honor of Jack & Dee Smith’s
financial gift), to be held June 8thafter worship service.
Ø The Council continues to support New Hope’s Ministries through
ongoing actions of support. This includes: improved cleanliness of
the church, completion of classroom upgrades, monthly Soup
Suppers especially for community members, efforts to help New
Hope become a Great Commission Church (evangelism within our
community and church growth), encouraging Small Groups to
continue their ministry activities, and other trustee activities.
Ø Sally McKenney has graciously volunteered to become New
Hope’s licensed food service person, a huge but critical
undertaking. This will allow the church to be a certified Fixed
Food Service Establishment, with the kitchen available to be used
year-round for all types of events, to include charging for meals
served during fundraisers.
The Council is updating the church calendar to reflect all major
ministry events and small group activities providing opportunities
for NH members to grow in their faith.
Ø The Church Directory is being updated for the final time and a
new copy will be published soon.
