Wow! What a mighty God we serve! We had perfect weather for our annual summer luncheon held here at New Hope on Sat. Aug. 9th. It was wonderful to see our sister in Christ from 9 area churches, in fellowship together again. Thanks from the bottom of my heart to Sue Reed, Karrie Randall, Linda Randall, Kathy Waite, Trudy Crowley, Dawn Wilson,Diane Larsen, Kay Rooker, Sharon Shephard, Karen Woodruff, Sally McKenny, Nancy Lepowski, Michele Martin, and Rachel Ewing (and Wally too). Bev Rothernberg and Dawn Cassel who made sure my T’s were crossed and my I’s dotted. Special thanks to Gary Green, our speaker who is Director of Public Safety and Chief of Police at Ferris. From the lovely luncheon and the smiling sunflower decor with candy gifts and other special little gifts, it was a very delightful day. You are all very special to me.
God’s Blessing,Nancy Karcher
Second Saturday Munch Bunch
The Second Saturday Munch Bunch will meet for dinner on Saturday, September 13 at 5pm at the Turk Lake Restaurant. Turk Lake Restaurant is located at 161 S. Turk Lake Drive, which is in between Lakeview and Greenville, right off of M91. Their address does list Greenville as the city, but it is not in the town of Greenville. The Second Saturday Munch Bunch is open to everyone in the church and is a great way to get to know other people. We usually meet at a restaurant the second Saturday of each month for dinner. Come enjoy a great meal, conversation, and fellowship! There is no obligation to going every second Saturday—come when you are able to! If you have never attended one of our outings, why not try us! There is a sign-up board located in the Narthex by the pastor’s office. Any questions, please call Laura Hall at231-972-7000.
