Prayers for health concerns for Joe and Judy's son, Heath.
Prayers for Suzie Rockafellow, my sister with cancer diagnosis,
Roy Mize, a friend for health issues, Jo Alyce Peterson, Dan’s
sister, on Hospice.
Prayers for Ryan Kelley for Kidney surgery in May (cancer).
Prayers for all those who are handicapped and for all those who
cannot get to God’s house.
Prayers for Ed Highfied, healing and recovery.

What’s Happening at New Hope Church Mortgage
The mortgage has been paid in full. Therefore, for the time being, any
future tithes that are given to the building fund will go into the
maintenance reserve fund. Thank you.

Mary-Martha will be meeting Monday, May 5 at 1:00 in the conference
room. All ladies are welcome.
Men’s Bible Study

Today is Compassion Sunday at New Hope!
May 4th is compassion Sunday, a day set aside by churches
across the U.S. to remember God's call to care for the poor
and oppressed. As followers of Jesus, we are called to serve
those in need, and Compassion International provides us at
New Hope with a way to do just that. By supporting
Compassion International, we can help release children from
poverty in Jesus' name! You can become a child sponsor and
make a great difference in his/her life and give a child the gift
of hope in our Lord Jesus! A short presentation will help us
learn more about sponsorship and a Compassion information
table and child sponsor cards will be set up in the Narthex until

Cherubs of Comfort Blanket Ministry
The Cherubs of Comfort Blanket Ministry has chosen The
Brooke of Big Rapids as there next recipients of our ministry.
We are asking for donations of lap blanket kits 48 x 60.
Our goal is to make 69 lap blankets. We invite you to bring
your sharp scissors and a heart for helping others. Everyone is

Second Saturday Munch Bunch
The Second Saturday Munch Bunch will meet for dinner on
Saturday, May 10 at 5 pm at Tally’s Bar & Grill located at the
Pines Golf Course at Lake Isabella. The address for Tally’s is
1022 S. Clubhouse Drive in Lake Isabella. The Second
Saturday Munch Bunch is open to everyone in the church and
is a great way to get to know other people. We usually meet at
a restaurant the second Saturday of each month for dinner.
Come enjoy a great meal, conversation, and fellowship! There
is no obligation to going every second Saturday—come when
you are able to! If you have never attended one of our outings,
why not try us! There is a sign-up board located in the
Narthex by the pastor’s office. Any questions, please call

Mary-Martha Shoeboxes
We are half way through April, which means it is time to think
about . . . Christmas!
Mary-Martha is thinking ahead to next fall when we will be
packing shoeboxes again. The suggested item for April is
stuffed animals. In addition, spring and summer toys and
clothes are often on sale when the season first begins. Please
remember that everything needs to fit in a shoebox.
We appreciate your help,and some child will be overjoyed.

Soap;candy; toothpaste; gum; used or damaged items; scary
or war-related items such as toy guns, knives, or military
figures; chocolate or food; seeds; fruit rolls or other fruit
snacks; drink mixes (powdered or liquid); liquids or
lotions;medications or vitamins; breakable items such as snow
globes or glass containers; aerosol cans.

Do you miss New Hope Events, and Announcements because
you are computer less at your home? Fear Not! New Hope
has its own “Telephone Chain”. Call Karen Woodruffand leave
your phone number. When an announcement is sent out from
the church office, it will come to you by a link in the Chain and
you can pass it on. Leave your name and number at
