Mavis Hadder is nearing the end of her life. Please pray for comfort for her and our family and a smooth passing. Thank you for your prayers.
Prayers for the family drama happening. Pray we begin forgiving each other.
Prayers for George Groll for health issues.
Prayers for Keith Sterling in Hospice care.
Prayers for our great-granddaughter having her tonsils out the end of July. Please pray for Olive (age 7).
Continued prayers for Greg W. in Hospice, Chase Reed for speech, and Terry Reed who has a fractured arm and hip pain.
Prayers for Don Santer, he is being treated for a possible melanoma on his forehead.
Prayers for our Countries leaders,our community and youth, GMC growth, leaders, and all disciples.
Prayers for all military who are away from home that would like to be in God’s house but are on duty somewhere around the World.
Prayers that we fill our Church with Christians and Seekers!
Praise for God’s daily Grace and Mercy.
Thank You! – Larry and I would like to thank our New Hope family for all of your prayers, phone calls, cards, food and concerns as we continue this journey homeward. Larry has some further neurology testing in early August. We know God is our greatest physician. All praise to Him!

What’s Happening at New Hope
Volunteers Needed
We are in need of volunteers in some areas of the church. We need people to sign up to be Sunday morning greeters, coffee hour hosts/hostesses, and VBS workers. Please consider volunteering. Many hands make light work!
Pray and Go
Pray and Go bible study will start back up on Monday nights at 6:30 PM beginning July 14th.
Benevolence Report
Our offering for June was $112.50. We assisted one family in the amount of $300.00. We continue to hold this very important ministry up to the Lord. Blessings,Nancy and Sue
Thank You!
On behalf of Cherubs of Comfort, we want to thank all of you that contributed in any way to our blanket ministry. Many of you gave blanket fleece, gifts of money for fleece, and blankets that you yourselves made. A huge hug to all the cherubs who came and helped loop and cut the 70 laps blankets that were recently taken to the Brook in Big Rapids. The residents were so happy and our hearts were overjoyed. We are now enjoying our summer with families and friends, and will start making lap blankets again in the fall. Blessings,Cherubs of Comfort
Second Saturday Munch Bunch
The Second Saturday Munch Bunch will meet for dinner on Saturday, July 12 at 5 pm at Smuggler’s At North Shore located on beautiful Hess Lake. The address is 864 E. 88th Street in Newaygo. There is limited parking in front of the restaurant. Additional parking is kitty-corner to the restaurant by the large flag pole. We will be eating inside on the lower level. The Second Saturday Munch Bunch is open to everyone in the church and is a great way to get to know other people. We usually meet at a restaurant the second Saturday of each month for dinner. Come enjoy a great meal,conversation, and fellowship! There is no obligation to going every second Saturday—come when you are able to! If you have never attended one of our outings, why not try us! There is a sign-up board located in the Narthex by the pastor’s office. Any questions, please call Laura Hall at231-972-7000.
The Hoppers in Concert at New Hope Church
The Hoppers will be in concert on Sunday, July 27 at 4 pm. Doors will open at 3 pm. The Hoppers unique blend of harmonies and song choices have created a legacy of musical excellence embraced by leading pastors and event organizers. Known as America’s Favorite Family of Gospel Music, they are favorites on the Gaither Homecoming videos and tours, and their recordings frequently land at the top of the BILLBOARD sales charts and The Singing News radio charts. Mike Hopper,the youngest son, has come off the road to care for his parents, Connie and Claude Hopper. As a result, with Claude and Connie’s blessings, Dean and Kim Hopper, along with their daughter Karlye,have moved forward as the latest configuration of The Hoppers. They are continuing the family’s long legacy as one of the prominent families of Gospel Music. Tickets will be on sale at the Welcome Center on Sundays before and after the service. Tickets are $20 in advance and $24 the day of the concert. For questions, call Greg/Laura at231-972-7000.
Memorial Service for Gary Berg
Services for Gary Berg will be held Tuesday, July 29, 2025 at New Hope Church.
Visitation will be at 10 AM and the service will begin at 11 AM. There will be a luncheon to follow.

> Soothe the Soul Soup Supper: (3rd WED of the month,for Community) Next Soup Supper is July16th @ 5:30pm. Bring a friend or neighbor and welcome our visitors; a special time of fellowship, including:Pastor’s Devotional and live Christian Music.
> Compassion Child Sponsorship: This annual opportunity to reach out into the world and help a child is coming to an end. If you still want to sponsor a child contact Rachel Ewing.
> God’s Helping Hands: New Hope continues to support this important program, which provides emergency food to members of our community. Please support GHH in however you can.
> Mission Trips: Stay tuned…. The Mission Team is developing some ideas for an Away Trip….
> Curry Comfort(Hospice) House: The Mission Team continues to support Curry House in Reed City. They are having financial difficulties. More details on how New Hope can help are forthcoming.
Evangelism (Director TBD / Pastor Wayne):
> “Pray & Go” Study Group: This group is working to include all members of New Hope in becoming Great Commission Christians and a Great Commission Church. See the Pastor if you would like to receive a book and be moved by this Spirit filled opportunity for Evangelism.
> “Little Jesus Ministry’: This simple but impactful “handout” is an ongoing way of evangelism at New Hope. Get your Little Jesus handout/bag and share the Good News with everyone you interact with; an easy and humorous way to start a conversation about Jesus.
> “Summer Concerts”: “The Guardians – June 21 @ 4pm; “The Hoppers” – July 27 @ 4pm.
Congregational Care (Director - TBD):
> Director Position: Although many volunteers are assisting with caring for our own, we still need someone to become the Director and coordinate this important Ministry for New Hope(family) members.
> Assistance Needed?: Contact the church office if you have a need and we’ll find a person to help…
> Care Team Opportunities: Contact Pastor Wayne or Wally Ewing if you would like to help with an area of care that Congregational Care provides.
Worship Design (Director - Pastor Wayne):
> Outdoor Services: July 20thand Aug 17th; to be held in the Garden area.
> Baptisms at the Lake: Planning is underway for this very special event on Sunday, Aug 10th @ 5pm;Canadian Lakes Sunset Beach and nearby pavilion.
Prayer Team (Director – Sue Reed):
> Prayer Wall: A Prayer Wall is being created and will be located in the sanctuary; it will reflect prayers lifted up (via prayer cards) and also have cards with“answered prayers”. Additionally, the Prayer Team will be praying over the Prayer Wall a couple times each month.
Small Groups (Director: Karen Woodruff)
> Activities: See notes in the bulletin showing the variety of mission activities and events each of our Small Groups are involved with. Join in and experience putting faith into action.
Your help is sorely needed for our church ministries to be effective. Use your Spiritual Gifts and be an active part of New Hope’s Mission to “Love God, Love Others, and Serve”.
